The important role of electronic quartz in vehicle automatic driving system

The important role of electronic quartz in vehicle automatic driving system

Auto Driving System, also known as driverless vehicle, is an intelligent vehicle system implemented by car central processing system.

Self driving vehicles rely on AI, visual computing, monitor system modules, radar ranging module,

and GPS global positioning module to cooperate with each other,

so that the intelligent control system can automatically drive the vehicle for users in safe mode without people operating.

Autopilot uses video surveillance cameras, radar ranging sensors, GPS global positioning and electronic maps to get around the traffic situation,

and navigate the road ahead through a detailed 3D map. Therefore, the automatic driving vehicle needs to have a quick and accurate response to all the objects around the car.

The on-board computer system can be divided into front-end and back-end two modules: the front-end is the collection of information,

and the back-end is the fast data logic analysis of all the information from the front-end, and the real-time command is sent to the vehicle driving control module.

Obviously, to achieve this goal, in addition to the breakthrough in automotive software, it also puts forward higher and more stringent requirements for the stability,

accuracy, anti-interference of the hardware. The chip, also known as the central processing unit (CPU), is the brain responsible for data processing in the autopilot system,

and the electronic components that provide it are electronic quartzs.

It can be imagined that the high response performance of the chip is inseparable from the electronic quartz, which continuously provides a more stable and accurate signal source.

Monitoring system module

The video monitor system of autopilot is to install several HD cameras on the car, to identify traffic lights, and to identify moving objects,

such as surrounding vehicles, bicycles, pedestrians or other objects, with the aid of on-board computer. SMD 27MHz,

50MHz and 54MHz continuously send accurate and stable signals to the chip, which is the basic guarantee of HD video capture and transmission.

Radar ranging system module

In the radar ranging system module, the temperature compensated electronic quartz is used,

which can ensure the accurate and stable transmission and reception of the signal.

The radar ranging system can assist the CPU to provide indispensable key data for the distance between objects around the car,

so that the car can make timely and correct response, such as emergency braking, deceleration, or avoidance.

GPS global positioning module

GPS global positioning module can accurately locate the moving car in real time, and provide the CPU with real-time road conditions,

buildings, traffic information, etc. The crystal frequency responsible for accurate positioning is TCXO 26MHz. The higher the accuracy,

the better the stability and the more accurate the positioning.

Central data processing module

The central data processing module (CPU) is used to receive and process all the data, which comes from the real-time image of the car surveillance camera,

the distance change data between the car body and the surrounding environment of the radar ranging system module, the GPS real-time positioning data, etc.

The role of the central data processing module is the core of the autopilot system, and it is the general headquarters. Therefore,

it needs a electronic quartz with more stable frequency signal and higher driving power. This electronic quartz is called differential electronic quartz.

It can output two frequency signals at the same time. Another advantage is its high reliability and high precision.
