SMD1409 100MHz OCXO – Ultra-Low Phase Noise for Precision Timing

The SMD1409 100MHz OCXO sets a new benchmark for ultra-low phase noise and long-term stability in a compact SMD package. With ≤-170dBc/Hz @100kHz and ≤20fs RMS phase jitter (12kHz–20MHz), it is ideal for demanding applications such as 5G base stations, GPS disciplined oscillators (GPSDO), microwave backhaul, radar systems, and high-end test equipment.

Operating from a 3.3V ±5% supply with just ≤35mA current consumption, this oscillator delivers a ≥5dBm sinewave output into 50Ω, ensuring excellent signal integrity. The built-in voltage control pin (VC) provides ≥±25ppm tuning range with positive slope and <10% linearity, making it suitable for phase-locked loops (PLLs) and frequency fine-tuning.

With ±20ppm frequency stability over -40°C to +85°C and ±1ppm/year aging, the SMD1409 guarantees reliable performance in harsh environments. Startup time is ≤10ms, and harmonic suppression is ≤-25dBc.
